Our Experience of Working in a Serviced Office Building

Updated: Jun 18, 2020

Here at Mahon Digital, we offer digital marketing services to small and medium-sized businesses, both locally and abroad. We have offices both in the UK and Finland. Since February 2013, our UK office has been based within the Mill Studio building.

Flexibility for Business Growth

When we first moved into Mill Studio, we required just a very small office for two people to work in. Since then, thanks to Mill Studio’s flexibility, we’ve been able to move between office suites within the building, as our business has grown. Our current office suite has 8 desks, split across two levels. This works particularly well as it means client meetings or phone calls can be held in the upper level, without disturbing those working in the lower area. Our contract additionally includes usage of the meeting rooms in the building. These are ideal for holding private meetings or creating a really professional atmosphere for a business meeting.

Despite a large number of businesses working in the same building, there is a really friendly, welcoming feel about the place. Upon arrival at work, we’ll always be greeted with a smile from the lovely reception staff. If clients are ever visiting the building, they’ll receive the same professional welcome, giving an excellent first impression of our business. The reception staff also manage our mail and photocopying needs, and can supply chocolates, sweets and drinks if we’re ever feeling peckish!

It’s all about Location!

For those commuting to work, the location is ideal. Some staff members drive to work from nearby towns in Hertfordshire, and others arrive by train. Unlike other larger towns, the rush hour traffic through Ware is comparatively light. Employees report a stress-free drive to work and are thankful for the plentiful free parking available on site. For those arriving by train, Mill Studio is just a few minutes’ walks from Ware train station. This has enabled us to attract employees living in London, as well as more locally. With central London reachable in less than 45 minutes, work functions and client meetings in the city can be easily arranged!

For anyone working in an office, there is the risk of not being active enough during the daytime. Mill Studio has a stunning location, overlooking the River Lea. The offices back onto the riverside footpath, which provides a short and very pleasant walk into Ware town centre for shops, bars and cafes. If ever fancying a longer lunchtime stroll, then the riverside trail continues further across the meads towards Hertford. Plenty of perfect spots to sit out by the river in the sunshine with your lunch in the summer!

We’re satisfied, and are sure you’ll be too!

We’re now approaching 6 years at Mill Studio, and we certainly don’t have any plans to relocate any time soon! An excellent location, supportive staff and flexible options are exactly what a thriving small business needs.
